Congratulations to the 2018 International ELT Research Conference PhD Grant Winners!

The Organizing Committee of the 10th International ELT Research Conference would like to congratulate the PhD Grant Recipients. There were 9 submissions, and we are happy to congratulate the following on receiving the grant, sponsored by the US Embassy, Ankara, Turkey:

  • Kutay Uzun (Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University): The Effect of Genre-based Instruction on Foreign Language Writing Anxiety
  • Sedat Beceren (Yeditepe University) : An Investigation about the Effect of Video Based Self-Monitoring Strategy on Pre-service teachers’ Reflectivity Levels
  • Mohd Sirhajwan Bin Idek (University of Technology Mara): Eliciting Oral Language Output from Novice English Language Learners Through Visuals

Postgraduate Awards

Sponsored by the US Embassy, Ankara, 10th ELT Research Conference offers awards for three postgraduate students at PhD level to encourage prospective academics to present their research studies in the conference. The award provides free conference registration and accommodation. The award is now open to all applicants who have high potential to make a good presentation of their well-designed research projects. The applicants will be evaluated according to the following criteria by the organizing committee:

3 The methodology is sound          
4 The topic is relevant to the conference theme          
5 The research contributes to the field
