Dear Colleagues,

It gives us great pleasure to announce that the 10th International ELT Research Conference to be organised by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Education, ELT Department, in collaboration with the International Association of Research in Applied Linguistics and Foreign Language Education (UDEAD), is to be held from 25-27th April, 2018 in Antalya, Turkey. The theme of our 10th conference is “New Perspectives in Quality Learning and Teaching in ELT”. This conference takes place every two years with the aim of furnishing an opportunity for the dissemination of the results of rigorous academic enquiry as well as encouraging scientific discussion, exchange of ideas and other interaction with colleagues.

It will be a great honour for us to introduce some distinguished scholars as keynote speakers at our 10th conference, including Paul Kei Matsuda, Dwight Atkinson, Flavia Vieira and Filomena Capucho, who will inform us about their own scholarly work and provide us with food for thought. In addition, we invite all scholars from around the world who are involved in ELT research to submit a proposal for an oral presentation, workshop or poster presentation on one of the following themes or another relevant topic:

Potential presenters are required to submit a proposal, in the form of a 300-500 word structured abstract, via our electronic submission system, by January 14th 2018. Proposals will be blind-reviewed by the Screening Committee for scope and quality. Paper presentations will be given a 15-minute time slot, with a 5-minute question-and-answer session. Workshop presenters will be allocated 45 minutes and poster sessions will be arranged for presenters to discuss their work with interested participants. The presented papers will be published by  Journal of Language and Linguistic Studies (http://www.jlls.org/index.php/jlls) and Journal of Theory and Practice in Education (http://dergipark.gov.tr/http-eku-comu-edu-tr) after a review process.  Both journals are indexed by international indices. Additionally, those papers which will not be included in the journals will be published in an ebook format by Nobel Press. 

We believe that this conference will enable the dissemination of high-quality research findings which will also contribute to the professional development of practitioners and scholars and consequently impact the quality of learning and teaching in our field. In addition, we hope that individual participants will find opportunities for fruitful interaction with colleagues, whether old friends or new acquaintances, and will go away from the conference feeling invigorated and stimulated to embark on new undertakings.
